Radios supplied in bedrooms. Second bathroom has toilet with hose, large sink, bath with shower. Washing machine in cupboard under boiler. Drying rack supplied. Kitchen is fully furnished with oven, 4 place ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, electric toaster, electric kettle, a full set of crockery, cutlery, pans and other equipment. Dining area seats 8 people. Salon: long Moroccan style sofa, rug, coffee table, low side table and desk. Salon, kitchen, both bedroom windows overlook superb view of the bay. Apartment finished to highest quality with furnishings in contemporary Moroccan style. Marble floors. This is a home, not a property bought to rent.

The apartment is in a prime location 100 m from the beach in the heart of the business district in Tangier. Ideally situated for the beach in Tangier for those who like to swim or fish. Children will love the sandy beach. Only 500 m from the Tangier Ville railway station and the upcoming high speed rail link to Rabat and Casablanca, ideal for business travellers.
Walkers and runners will prize the promenade and the beach, extending the width of Tangier Bay.
Painters and photographers will fall in love with the quality of the light and the changing sea and skyscapes. Quiet location for those needing to concentrate, yet with facilities around if you need them.
5* and 4* Hilton hotels across the road with gym and spa facilities. Fine dining and casino at the 5 star Mövenpick Hotel at the eastern end of the bay.
Not JUST McDonalds, but also Panorama Cafe and Kandinsky!: Cafés, sandwich bars, laiteries, salons de thé, ice cream parlours and restaurants serving plain basic Moroccan meals abound along the Route Malabata as you go west. Most cafés serve omelettes for breakfast. We use the Puerto Rico café downstairs which has an excellent wifi connection.
Buy Pay-by-the-Day 4G internet from INWI, Maroc Telecom or Meditel to stay in touch with friends on the web.
Places to visit: The Kasbah and the Medina, housing a warren of streets and markets of old Tangier, are star attractions. Unless you have an acute sense of direction, it might be good to pick up a guide the first time. Haggling is expected. Start at just under half the asking price, or even less, and see what happens.
Some shops do charge fixed price but this is usually shown as a notice in the window. Looking for something really authentic? Ask to go to the Bazar Phoenicien.
The American Legation Museum is well worth a visit.
You can walk to the Kasbah and the medina, but you will probably prefer to take a petit taxi, the small turquoise cabs with a yellow stripe along the side. Agree the price before you set off. In March 2011, I paid 40 dirhams for a trip from the apartment to the Kasbah.
Try to get out to Cap Spartel to catch some fresher air and see the Atlantic rolling in, while the grotto of Hercules has a distinctive opening. Enjoy baked sardines under the trees at Achaka Beach.

Overlooking Tangier Bay and just 100 m from the beach, the apartment is ideal for those who seek both a relaxing rest in the sun as well as those who want to explore the city and enjoy cafe life. Ideally suited for families. The railway station lies a mere 500 m away with connections to other major centres in Morocco, such as Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, Marrakech and beyond. Visit the Kasbah, the souk barra in the medina, the many cafes and ice cream parlours lining the promenade. Kadinsky's, famous for its icecream sundaes, is less than 5 minutes away. Enjoy traditional spa treatments in the many nearby hotels. Bargain for mementoes in the souk. Play golf at the world famous Royal Country Golf Club. Tangier predates Roman history. You can see Phonecian rock tombs. The city has a legacy as a haunt for artists and writers during the 20th century, such as Jean Genet, Paul Bowles and Tennessee Williams who would meet at Cafe Hafa. This cafe was established in 1921 overlooking the Straits of Gibraltar. A very restful venue especially in the summer, where you can enjoy Moroccan cooking. Barbara Hutton had a mansion here. The American Legation Museum in the medina was the USA's first diplomatic mission. It now houses a museum with a rich archive on Tangier's more recent history.

The rate is €80 a night from 1st November to 15th March, excluding the two weeks covering Christmas and New Year, when it will be €100 a night.
